Pico Party Recipes - Frozen Chocolate Bananas

Frozen chocolate bananas?! I know, sounds a bit different but trust me this recipe is a CROWD PLEASER. Takes less than an hour in total to make and gives you a chance to get creative with the toppings. I opted for the three found below but feel free to mix it up to suit your taste buds. Cheeky added bonus, banana's are loaded with potassium and a good source of vitamin C!

8 ripe but firm bananas
400g milk or dark chocolate (or 200g of each)

For the topping (All optional):
50g chocolate chip cookie (Crushed into a crumb)
One tube of smarties (Crushed into a crumb)
50g white chocolate flakes

Parchment paper
Baking tray

Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Cut the bananas in two and insert a lollipop stick into the cut side of each banana. Then place into the freezer for 25 minutes.
While the bananas are in the freezer prepare the topping, or toppings, you wish to use. When the bananas have 5 - 10 minutes left, melt the chocolate on a low heat.
Once the chocolate is melted, get the bananas out of the freezer and tip one into the chocolate, covering the whole banana. Place onto the parchment paper and quickly sprinkle with the topping of your choice before the chocolate sets. Repeat this for as many bananas as you have.
Place the bananas back into the freezer for 40 minutes. Can keep for up to one week if in an airtight container.
