Pico Party Recipes - Hummus with a twist

Hummus is great, and the perfect win for children or adults. Why buy shop bought, that usually comes wrapped in plastic, when its so easy and simple to make yourself?! I've added a little twist here by adding the Octopus on top, perfect for your next under the sea party!

Ingredients
400g of Chickpeas
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1 x clove of garlic (optional)
Pinch of paprika
Juice of half a lemon
Pinch of salt
2 x black olives

For the Octopus
2 x peppers

Instructions

STEP 1
Drain the chickpeas and rinse under the tap.

STEP 2
Combine the chickpeas, lemon juice, salt, paprika and garlic (if using) in a blender or food processer. Blend until smooth, then place into a small circular bowl.

STEP 3
Cut one of the peppers in half and place in the middle of the hummus. Using the other pepper cut 8 pieces of pepper and place around the octopus' body to create the legs. Slice the olive in half and make the eyes.

You should be done and have yourself a fun looking octopus hummus!
