Pico Party Recipes - Pesto Twists

This recipe looks impressive but anyone can do it and I mean that! Such a easy dish to make and so tasty. A savoury treat that can really be enjoyed by all age groups and a great addition to any party!

Ingredients
four tablespoons of pesto 
Two sheets of puff pastry (Cut into 25cm Circle)
One egg (beaten)
Half a teaspoon of sesame seeds 

Equipment 
Parchment paper
25cm circular object (I use a plate) 
5cm cup (I use a cup)

Instructions

STEP 1
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

STEP 2
Rollout the pastry onto some parchment paper and place the plate face down and cut out a circle of pastry around the edge with a knife. Repeat this again and place one circle of pastry to the side.

Spread the pesto evenly on the first circle of pastry, then place the second circle on top, aligning the edges.

STEP 4
Invert the small glass onto the center and make an indentation with the rim then remove the glass.

STEP 5
Cut the circle in half, then quarters, then the quarters into thirds, leaving 12 thin strips. Twist each strip with a two turn twist.

Beat an egg and brush all over the twists and sprinkle them with sesame seeds.

Place into the oven to cook for 10 - 15 minutes until the twists are golden brown.
